"Rachel operates with honesty, integrity and trust and these are values close to my own heart. As such, within the confidential realms of the finance directorate I absolutely felt that we had a tight working relationship that had the correct level of sharing to make the relationship effective. I know that this was also felt by my broader team and I note that you most ably looked after this team which not only had Finance but also includes IT, Procurement, Internal Audit, Legal & Business Insight.”

— MATT, FINANCE DIRECTOR

FAQs

  • A Virtual Assistant (VA) provides support to businesses and individuals, assisting them remotely (or virtually) with a variety of administrative, creative or project related tasks. With the advancements in superfast broadband and cloud-based software, such as Microsoft 365, a VA can support the increasing number of people working for themselves or businesses taking a more flexible approach for a better work-life balance all round. Please take a look at my Services page for examples of the type of tasks you could outsource to me as a highly skilled VA. My vast experience covers a broad range of industries working with private individuals, small businesses, and large corporate organisations over the years.

  • Think about the jobs that are time-consuming for you or those that you don’t like doing. Administrative work is necessary but can use up precious time which you could be spending with a client or carrying out your professional expertise. Are you always leaving your invoicing to the last minute or not prioritising them over other work? Are you feeling overwhelmed with your inbox management and not replying to important emails? Do you struggle writing, branding and formatting documents, proposals or presentations? These are some examples to think about but we can identify areas to outsource during a consultation.

  • There are many reasons why it makes sense to hire a VA. Firstly, it is a flexible way to grow your team and find someone to delegate your to-do list to and simply offload. The newly created time will allow you to grow your business, explore different revenue channels, review strategies and create brand recognition. I will help you to create efficiencies in your day-to-day work by aiding your strengths and providing support so you can focus on your profession and worry less about administration and organisation. Working with a VA also makes financial sense since you won’t need to provide office space, equipment, payroll, pension, holiday or sickness pay, training and performance reviews, for example.

  • Rates are tailored to your requirements starting from a minimum package of 10 hours per month for completing scheduled work. This is billed in advance to guarantee my availability and retain time for you. If additional hours are required during a particular month, flexibility is offered where possible and the extra hours billed separately. A fully timed task breakdown is provided with each invoice for complete transparency. For specific project work or events, the scope would be discussed in detail, agreeing the deliverables and timelines involved. A pricing estimate will be provided in my proposal and payment terms agreed at the outset.

  • I work Monday to Friday 0900-1700.  For invoicing purposes, my ‘out of hours’ pricing for unplanned or urgent turnaround work, would be anything requiring completion outside of 0900 to 1700 Monday to Thursday.

  • I’m based in North Yorkshire in the UK, in a small countryside village just south of the beautiful city of York. We are lucky to be surrounded by fields and farming so my dog (aka Beau the Barketing Manager!) loves her walks around here and I enjoy the peace and quiet of rural living. Since 2017, I’ve worked for Board Directors based in different cities to my location, so I’m used to working remotely via a hybrid model. I now live and breathe virtual working, so I’m predominantly based at my home office.

  • With over 20 years’ experience and no gaps in employment, you can trust in my ability to provide a professional service. I have several references and testimonials which I’ll be happy to share with you. With my background as an Executive and Personal Assistant, dealing with confidential matters is second nature and information is handled with the care and privacy that surrounds it.

  • Yes. I have comprehensive insurance in place with Hiscox with a claim limit of £100k.  This would cover; negligence or breach of duty, advertising or branding mistakes such as inadvertently defaming or infringing on the copyright of a third party, infringement of intellectual property rights like copyright or trademark, defamation, work undertaken on my behalf by sub-contractors or outsourcers and any other civil liability. Please ask for further details if required.

  • I recommend using a password manager application such as Dashlane, this one is my preference anyway. You can instantly create and store strong, unique passwords for all your logins and help protect your digital identity. You retain complete control over access to those details and can revoke access at any time or update a password without needing to inform me.

  • Click the ‘Get Started’ button and I’ll be in touch!  I work on a three-step process to ensure a full understanding of your requirements; 1) we talk and learn about each other’s businesses discussing how I can support you now and moving forward, 2) a tailored support package is proposed and then 3) we get to work! Simple. During the process, we will also discuss how you like to work and your preferred communication methods and platforms. As our working relationship evolves, we can adapt our collaboration style to suit by scaling services up or down, as required.

Let me create a business support package that’s right for you.
